Washing Basics

All LEANKEE covers are machine washable. Wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle, separately from other laundry, using a mild detergent. Do not bleach, and do not dry clean. All our fabrics are pre-shrunk before cutting, so your cover keeps its tailored fit wash after wash. Zip the cover closed before washing to protect the zipper and prevent snagging.

Waffle, Diamond, Basket & Tweed

Our woven fabrics are the easiest to care for. After washing, air dry or tumble dry on low. If needed, iron on low heat — steam works well for removing packing creases when your cover first arrives.

Velvet & Corduroy

Pile fabrics need slightly different handling. Air drying is best; if you tumble dry, use the lowest setting and remove promptly. Do not iron directly — heat and pressure crush the pile and leave permanent shiny marks. Instead, hang the cover and use a steamer at a distance, or brush gently with a soft garment brush in the direction of the pile once dry. This also revives flattened areas from everyday use.

Linen

Our linen blend contains natural fibres, so treat it a little more gently: air dry rather than tumble dry, and iron on medium-low while slightly damp for the smoothest finish. A relaxed, lived-in crease is part of linen's character — many customers skip ironing entirely.

Everyday Care

Between washes, vacuum your cover with a soft brush attachment to remove dust and crumbs. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — don't rub, as rubbing pushes liquid into the weave. For most spills, prompt blotting is all it takes.

A Note on Your Warranty

Following these care instructions keeps your 3-year craftsmanship warranty valid. Damage from washing above 30°C, bleaching, dry cleaning or direct ironing of pile fabrics isn't covered — but stick to the basics above and your cover will handle years of regular washing.
